Unlike regular charging cable, this new car charger is very convenient because you can operate it in one hand.
I mounted the phone holder on my vent and adjusted the car charger to an Ideal posture. Very easy to use.

This mount has to be one of my favorite mounts I’ve ever used. Love how it closes on your phone to hold it securely automatically. Just press the button on the side to release. The tray that the phone rests on is adjustable for all size phones. I’m using the vent mount and it’s the best I’ve seen. Recommend

I've only had this for about a week now, but so far I like it a lot.
Short version. Best wireless charger I've used and at $35 with the USB-C cable and QC 3.0 adapter, that's an outstanding price.

    Pros:
    - It seems to be much better quality than other Wireless Charging mounts I've used in the past.
    - The suction is strong and the arm holding the mount is sturdy. My phone doesn't bounce around or vibrate while using it.
    - It holds a wide range of phones. It's large enough to hold my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and adjusts to be small enough to hold my wife's Galaxy S10.
    - It actually does Fast Wireless Charging. Some other wireless mounts I've used claimed this, but didn't reliably deliver it.
    - It used a USB-C cable to power the charger. So if you want to plug in your phone, and you have any modern Android phone, you can also unplug it and plug in your phone directly for Fast charging.
    - It includes the Quick Charge 3.0 adapter and USB-C cable in the box.
    - It includes an Air Vent Mounting adapter in the box. I'm using the suction cup right now, but in Texas in the summer I've had trouble with my phone getting too hot being on the dash on multiple hour road trips. So it is nice to have the option to put it on the Air Vent mount instead.
    - It has an automatically adjusting width for the holder. This is nice, because it provides one-handed operation. You press the button, it opens up to it's full width. You put your phone in and it automatically closes to the phone's width.
    - The price! I got mine for $35, which is about half the price of the iOttie product I bought, and this one seems better than that one in every way so far. And it INCLUDES the USB-C cable and QC 3.0 adapter. I had to buy those separately with other chargers.

    Cons:
    - The automatic button takes a very brief second to close. So you have to hold the phone up there for a second. I could see this getting annoying after doing it many many times. But so far, it's still been ok.
    - When you turn your car on and the charger first receives power it automatically opens up to receive your phone, and after a small amount of time it closes. This is nice if you have your phone out ready to put on the charger, but if you don't have your phone out, you'll have to press the button. I think it would be better if it just opened automatically and stayed open wide and didn't close until the phone was placed in front of it.
    - those are the only cons I can think of right now. So far it's the best wireless charger I've used.

I have had this phone mount for about a month and it has been such a pleasure to use. I have had a magnetic vent mount as well as an iOttie mount in the past and this is a significant upgrade.
Since the clamping and unclamping of the phone is automatic, it is less cumbersome to use than the iOttie mount and it charges your phone at the same time! The grip is strong and the ball head locks securely. The build quality is excellent and the box includes everything you would need - suction mount, vent mount, charging cable and power plug. The motion sensor works well and there’s enough charge after shutting off the car to be able to unclamp your phone.
It’s illegal to hold your phone while driving in my state so why not get the best when you have to get one anyway?

Who knew the world of wireless charging could make life so simple?!? While this new(ish) feature has taken the world by storm, there are few products out there that integrates this technology into a innovative car holder that makes getting in and out of your vehicle with your phone SO MUCH EASIER! This product is everything I've ever wanted (and never knew I needed) in a car phone holder/wireless charger. The clever design incorporates an infrared sensor that automatically opens and closes with your phone. If you're concerned that this feature might leave you unable to get your phone out after turning off the car...fear not! The holder retains power allowing the auto-clamping function to work long after you shut off your car. And for added assurance, the emergency release button works flawlessly and provides comfort that in the event the auto-release should fail. The Qi Technology provides fast charging for all types of Qi-enabled phones, and the built in over-current, over voltage , short-circuit protection combined with foreign object detection keeps my phone safe from damage. Although the air vent holder with it's press-to-release clip works better than most, I much prefer the suction cup holder for ease of rotating the joint to ensure I can see my phone while it's charging. Overall I highly recommend this product!
  • Good to be air vent inserted or put on the board with the suction base

This is great for my car navigation use. I especially like the two functional uses of inserting in the air vent or put it on top of the base. The suction is pretty tight and it could be adjusted widely. It works well!

A wireless charger with a type C cable is great for me because that is what a lot of phones uses now (minus iphones). It does come with a QC charger which is AWESOME because many of them do not come with one. So you will not need to purchase a QC car charger. I did use this with the normal and QC car charger. I will say having the QC car charger makes faster but makes the device run hotter. I actually do not recommend putting a phone on QC charging mode too much as it could damage the battery so if you use QC charging switch off fast charge on the phone which is what i do for my note 10. This will reduce heat and maintain battery life. If I need power fast then I will use fast charge You can get a lot of juice out of it with the wireless charging be warned the device can get a bit warm on fast charging. If you only have a normal usb outlet do not worry it does work pretty well but you will just not get fast charging support from it. The clamps are automated and it does take some getting use to finding the sensor and using the sensor. The clamp should release and you can remove your phone. If it does not or you happen to turn off your car do not worry it is not hard to take the phone out and it should just reset back to normal the next time you start you car although I would not try to force it open too hard or you might break the mechanism inside. Be aware that some cars actually keep your car charger on even if you are away from your car so you can remove your phone that way as well but it will drain your car battery overtime which is unfortunately what is happening with my car. I do not know how to turn that part off. . It does come with a nice vent mount which is what is connected standard right out of the box. I would recommend you use the suction cup over the vent as to prevent any heat or cold from blasting at the device. The only problem with the suction cup is that it uses some kind of sticky gel to keep it connected which seems to go away if it is direct contact with heat over a long period of time. If you happen to only want to put it on the vent, I would say close the vent off as to not blast the back of your wireless charger with hot air. The clamp does not really extend much so if you use the suction make sure you put it in a place you do not have to lean too much forward to tap your phone. The charging time does vary based on which car charger you use and if you are using fast charging. I would say I could get about 10 percent charge (using quick charge) on a 10 minute drive somewhere. The charge time with QC varies if you are using GPS and such and the non QC is the same thing. The charge time really does vary based on which charger you are using and if you are using GPS. If you are using a GPS signal than you may heave heat issues since the heat from the wireless charging plus screen may give a good amount of heat. I would again suggest shutting the vent behind the clamp to make sure it does not get pushed with more heat especially during the cold weather. The clamp and holder can support the weight of your phone so do not worry about it fall apart. Only issue I see is the sensor can sometime activate even if you do not touch it so be careful not to let it drop your phone. Overall this is a good wireless phone car charger. It provides a steady charge while also giving you a more hands free setup

The automatic clamp phone chargers is very convenient, and the build quality is overall pretty good. I like that it uses usb type c cable, much better than micro usb, and the bottom clamp of the charger can be adjusted to fit phones of different length.

We wound up enjoying the mount quite a bit. It also gets the attention of others in the car (it’s the simple things in life that can sometimes get everyone excited). It charges quite well and we didn’t find ourselves having to adjust the bottom arm outside of once (for a phone that was quite a bit shorter than the rest). It’s a neat effect as much as it is a bonus and it doesn’t cost much more than your normal mount.

There are a few things to point out. We did find that the motion sensor doesn’t always work. At times we find that it works every time you bring the phone up to it, and then at times, it doesn’t respond at all. This seems to be something simple like the amount of light (sun) pointed directly at it or not, or how close it is to other objects. For example, we found that it didn’t work well at all if it was too close to the back of the steering wheel (hooked to a vent). Just placing your hands on the steering wheel would trigger the mount to open. Sometimes turning the wheel will do it, or it will get confused with it being there and not know the difference between your hand and the wheel and never open at all when you come close to it. So we moved the mount away from the steering wheel (opposite side of the vent) and it worked just fine (outside of a few occasions where it was most likely the sun or something).

The release touch sensor could benefit from being relocated to somewhere easier to get to. That way your finger doesn’t have to go to the side and behind the phone to slide around for the sensor. It would be nice for it to be instantly accessible despite the size of the phone sitting in the mount.

Finally, the air vent clamp needs a bottom/rest support. Some mounts are like this, where all you have is the clamp that slides into the vent. The problem is the mount can swing left or right at times which kind of gets annoying. Some other mounts have a bottom/rest support that the weight of the mount and phone leans down on. It keeps it sturdy and prevents it from swinging. This mount needs that.

Beyond those few points, the price and function of this mount are on par with other models like it on the market. The arms work well and apply just the right amount of pressure on the phone. It will hold is steady, and the arms haven’t squeezed down onto any buttons or anything (at least with the models we have tested it with). We like the quality of materials as well as the performance of the Qi charging. As mentioned, it immediately gets the attention of others in the car and looks nice.

If they were to touch on a few little things that could be improved upon, the next gen model will be flawless!
